PEWSEY Vale thrashed Highworth Town 4-1 in the Supplementary Cup last night while Biddestone took a point at Sherbourne.
Vale's James Hambridge scored from the spot before Michael Martin doubled the lead at the Recreation Ground with a fine shot from just inside the area.
Assistant manager Darren Tapper scored the goal of the game as he rounded off a flowing four man move with a rasping drive from 12 yards.
Highworth, who play in the Hellenic Premier Division, one abover Vale, pulled one back just before half time when keeper Stewart Thompson was beaten straight from a corner. Tom Ritchie and Scott Ward both hit the bar before Pewsey grabbed a fourth.
Manager Dave Turner said: "I can't even remember who scored the fourth because I couldn't believe what had happened before. I would struggle to pick a man of the match because they were all magnificent."
Biddestone's draw in Toolstation League First Division stops a run of two straight defeats, although they are still yet to win the in league this year.
Joe Ochuko put the visitors ahead when he netted from close range after Dan Harvey headed back Dan Lardner's corner on 30 minutes.
However, Sherbourne equalised after an hour and midfielder Phil Penning was sent off for two bookable offences late on.
Manager Graham Learmonth said: "It was a bit harsh as it was well into injury time. It was a foul but with 30 seconds left you would have hoped the referee would have used some common sense."
