Devizes 3 Bridgewater 0 Schoolboy Jamie Selby scored his first goal for the Devizes first team yesterday as they ran out three nil winners over highflying Bridgewater.
Selby, 18, a sixthform student at Devizes School has impressed manager Paul Thompson by his reserve team form and made no mistakes when given the chance to make the move up.
Back in form Nick Stanley added the other two goals. One from the penalty spot was so well struck it blasted a hole in the net.
Devizes did neighbours Corsham a favour. The north Wiltshire club's fixture was cancelled because of pitch conditions but the Devizes result against second placed Bridgewater will give them an extra cushion at the top of the table.
