As we watch Town suffer a dip in form on the pitch, it’s been possible movement from the coaching staff making the headlines.

Assistant manager Luke Williams has been linked with a move to Aston Villa, chairman Lee Power has rebuffed an approach from Barnsley for boss Mark Cooper.

As Town enjoys its most successful season in many years, it’s no surprise that other clubs aren’t only interested on our key players, but the men who work with those players day in, day out.

Cooper, Williams and all the coaching team deserve huge credit for the jobs they’ve done this season.

I could possibly see Williams leave if the offer was tempting enough, however, with regards to Cooper unless it was a huge club, or a club close to his heart like Leeds United, I don’t believe the manager is going anywhere.

Cooper knows he has landed on his feet at Swindon and understands other clubs wouldn’t be after his services if it hadn’t been for the perfect set-up he enjoys at SN1.

Don’t get me wrong, he has done a great job at Town, and I’ve happily eaten my humble pie over his appointment.

But his relationship with Power has seen him flourish, and it’ll be very difficult to ever find the stars align somewhere else as it has for him at SN1.
