NICK Maggs was just about satisfied with a point as Pewsey Vale held Sydenhams League Division One leaders Team Solent to a draw last weekend.
Kias Bonner-Shea gave Vale the lead after he got on the end of Tom Ritchie’s cross but after the home side’s Amara Holgate had struck the post, Solent netted twice to make it 2-1.
But Michael Martin grabbed the equaliser for Maggs’ men and the Ball Road boss would love to see his players approach every game with the intensity they showed against the high-flying Southampton students.
“Before the game, I would have taken a point but at the end of it, I was slightly disappointed that we didn’t take all three. But then I’d think that their manager was in the same camp as me,” said Maggs.
“We get really up for the big games and it would be nice if we could do that for every match.”
