A WEEK after they suffered a 4-0 defeat at Hilperton United, revenge was the only thing on the mind of Warminster Town Reserves when the sides met at Weymouth Street for the reverse fixture.
Against the odds, Warminster took the spoils thanks to a well-deserved 3-1 win, with all the goals coming in the second period.
Bradley Witham scored Hilperton's consolation after Craig Sheppard’s hat-trick had put Warminster in the ascendancy.
Leaders Castle Combe are under new management, Robbie Burton replacing Tom Bull as the man in charge of the villagers.
Burton had a dream start to his life as the gaffer with his team claiming a 3-0 victory to consolidate pole position.
Adam Walsh and Quinnan Tarawai put Combe two up before Jason Cole added the third in the second half.
Basement side Trowbridge Town Reserves took on second-placed Bradford United at Woodmarsh with the result going to form.
But Bradford’s 3-0 triumph was anything but easy as Trowbridge belied their lowly position as they held their hosts to Woodmarsh to a goalless first 45 minutes.
Phil Little scored all three goals for Bradford that took his season's tally to nine.
