CALNE Town chief Simon Gardner was down in the dumps following his side’s sickening defeat at the hands of Keynsham Town last weekend.
The Lilywhites were beaten 1-0 and Gardner through that his players didn’t deserve to be beaten at Bremhill View after succumbing to Liam Robson’s controversial winner.
“It was all doom and gloom at the Gardner household this week because we’d played well and didn’t deserve that,” said the Calne manager.
“Aaron Hopkins has been manhandled and the ref’s missed it. The ball’s gone a yard out and the linesman’s missed it. Then the ball has ricocheted off knees, shins and feet before going in.
"I felt sorry for my players. We never recovered from that goal and now we've lost seven on the bounce."
