THE Toolstation League First Division campaign is proceeding exactly as expected, according to Corsham boss Trevor Rawlings.

Town are in the thick of the battle in seventh, Levi Cox’s hat-trick securing a derby victory over Calne on Wednesday night.

Rawlings said: “Everybody is beating everybody this season, which is what I said would happen at the start of the season.

“If we can be in there around Christmas, we’ll have a look at the situation then.’’

Cox fired home from 30 yards to put Corsham ahead, but Calne hit back well, Steve Allison firing home after latching on to a through ball and then having a goal disallowed.

Matt Jenkins restored the advantage for Rawlings’ home side before Cox completed his hat-trick with two more goals.

Rawlings added: “It was a good win in the end. We changed formation at half time and had total control.’’
