DEVIZES Town were on the end of a cup upset last weekend as two goals in the final five minutes of extra-time saw the Nursteed Road men beaten at Shrewton United.

Justin Webster and Darran Walters’ men exited the Wiltshire Senior Cup at the hands of Wiltshire League Shrewton, with Matt Minnis’ opener cancelled out by the home side’s George Plank to force the added period.

Top-scorer Robbie Mitchell netted to put Devizes in front but the hosts’ Craig Lewis and Lewis Barr pounced at the death to hand Webster and Walters’ side an afternoon to forget.

Devizes, who have gone three games without racking up a victory in all competitions, turn their attentions back to the Toolstation League First Division this weekend and go looking to get back to winning ways as they take on county rivals Westbury United at home.
