AFTER losing out in a seven-goal thriller on the opening day away at Potterne, Phil Webb’s FC Box Steam Brewery were involved in another goal fest at Bobbin Lane, Westwood.

They shared ten goals with fellow third division newcomers Aces FC, whose equalising goal camedeep in injury time.

Steve Tuke struck twice for former Bath League side aces, but a Tom Downes double and Nick Gleeson penalty put the Brewery ahead at the break.

Mike Little scored twice to take Aces back in front, but Duncan Frew and Matt Hall turned it around again before Little netted his third to square it in added time.

Melksham Town A were the league’s high scorers last weekend after romping to a 9-0 win over The Stiffs and Barry Holloway’s side thumped Bratton 8-1 on Saturday.

Jake Sainsbury opened the scoring on his way to a haul of four, Kieren Mills also scoring before half time.

Callum Demkiv, twice, and Dan Moore also netted after the break, Neil Gordon wth Bratton’s lone reply.

FC Trowbridge followed up their opening-day success at Zeals with a 4-0 victory at home to Worton & Cheverell Reserves.

A bursting run and a well-timed pass from Natty Mills allowed Nathan Ball to open the scoring before Ball was upended for a penalty which Mills tucked away.

The same combination, Ball's flick to Mills, made it three before half time and Conor Green completed the scoring with a crisp side-footed volley from 20 yards.

George's Hall goal gave the Stiffs an early lead at home to Potterne, but after 90 minutes they were on the receiving end of a 10-1 thumping.

Steven House, who cancelled out Hall’s strike, scored twice, as did Myles Hickton, Tom Lye and Dean Taccuso. Ashley Huntley and Wayne House completed the rout.
