CALNE Town played out their second stalemate of the new Toolstation League First Division season last night.

Simon Gardner's men, who drew 1-1 at Roman Glass St George on the opening day of the campaign last Saturday, picked up another point as their clash with Cribbs at Bremhill View ended goalless.

Last weekend, Simon Gardner’s side fell behind with 13 minutes oin the clock, with Roman Glass' Andy Hamilton-Dunn finding the net on Roman Glass’ artificial Oaklands Park pitch.

The hosts’ went close to netting a second shortly afterwards but Calne keeper Jamie Bartlett turned an effort on to the upright.

But on the half-hour mark, a free-kick from striker Glenn Armstrong’s found its way to the far post, where Jones had time and space to nod home the Lilywhites’ equaliser.

Roman Glass did have the ball in the net again at the death but, to the relief of Gardner’s men, their effort was ruled out for offside.
