MALMESBURY Victoria picked up an important three points in the Hellenic League Division One West with victory at Carterton last night.
Gareth Davies' side, who are 12th in the table, battled their way to a 3-2 win over Carterton, who are a place below Malmesbury but now find themselves seven points behind, having played a game more.
The Vics, who drew 1-1 with New College Swindon last weekend, travel to local rivals Fairford Town this weekend.
In the Toolstation League First Division, Devizes Town picked up a point as they drew 2-2 with third-placed Welton Rovers.
Defender Gareth Davies and midfielder Tom Price were both on target as the spoils were share at Nursteed Road.
