CALNE Town scored twice midway through the second half to decide the fate of the three points in their Wiltshire derby at Warminster Town.

The home side were left to rue a succession of missed chances as the Lilywhites bagged the victory at Weymouth Street.

Calne took the lead on nine minutes when Glenn Armstrong's free kick was met by Tom Slater, whose touch took a deflection on the way in.

Warminster roared back and carved out a number of opportunities, including one which saw Jake Jefferies clear off the line, but the red and blacks eventually equalised when Louis Sparey found the net.

Warminster continued to pressure the visitors, forcing goalkeeper Jamie Bartlett into a number of saves.

Calne retook the lead on 67 minutes when Tom Slater won possession and fired into the corner.

And the Lilywhites sealed victory seven minutes later when Tom Boakes chipped home.

Corsham Town moved up into sixth position with a 2-1 win over Ashton & Backwell United, Gary Banks and Matty Jenkins on target.

Mark Robinson scored twice as Chippenham Park beat Almondsbury UWE at Hardenhuish Park, bu Devizes Town were overturned 3-0 at home by Wincanton Town.

Melksham Town were held to a goalless draw by Willand Rovers in the Toolstation League Premier Division.

Pewsey Vale's recent good run in Sydenhams League Division One was brought to an end as they squandered a two-goal lead at New Milton Town to lose 3-2.

Tom Ballard and Tom Ritchie netted for Vale, but the game was won for Milton by Sam Groves, Elliot Head and Kabba Jack.

Malmesbury Victoria hit back for a point at county rivals New College in Swindon in Hellenic League Division One West.

In the Premier Division, Wootton Bassett Town held Thame United to a goalless draw.

Alex Hiscock opened the scoring just after the half hour for College, but Vics hit back almost immediately as Ryan Latham replied.
