DEVIZES Town pulled off a shock last weekend as they became only the second side to beat Bradford Town in the Toolstation League First Division this season.

A goal from top-scorer Mark Barnes was enough for Justin Webster and Darran Walters’ men to take all three points at the league leaders in a 1-0 triumph at Trowbridge Road.

Elsewhere, in-form Corsham Town notched up a 2-0 victory at Wellington.

Trevor Rawlings’ side, who are now unbeaten in 12 matches, ran out comfortable winners thanks to goals from Nick Holton and Ben Moore.

Chippenham Park also picked up a victory on the road as they triumphed 1-0 at Barnstaple Town, courtesy of a last-gasp winner from Shane Blackmore.

In the Premier Division, Melksham Town notched up a second successive victory as they won 2-1 at Buckland Athletic.

Ben Thomson put Darren Perrin’s men ahead and after the hosts had levelled matters, Nick Ridout came off the bench to net the winner.

Pewsey Vale finally brought their winless run in the Sydenhams League Division One to an end with a 3-2 victory at struggling Andover New Street.

Lewis Taylor’s side hadn’t tasted victory in nine matches but Ryan Bragg, Ricky Franklin and Tom Ritchie were all on target as Vale won in Hampshire.

In the Hellenic League Premier Division, Adam Corcoran was on target as Wootton Bassett Town drew 1-1 with Flackwell Heath whilst in Division One West, Malmesbury Victoria played out a 3-3 thriller with Easington Sports.
