BOTH Marshfield and the Stiffs returned to action for the first time in over a month and it the former who showed little sign that they had been missing out as the villagers' 11-1 win was their biggest in Division Three since they joined the league at the start of the season.

Jeremy Bond was the hosts' top scorer with five, Andy Jefferies struck the net four times with James Williams and a Scott Ball own goal making up the winners tally.

Keith Quadling was on target for the Stiffs.

United FC 5 Zeals 2

UNITED FC claimed a 5-2 victory over a Zeals FC side who they had beaten 4-1 earlier in the season, with the win seeing them hold onto third spot in the standings.

Jakub Koman’s double helped United to a 2-1 interval lead but sandwiched in between his two goals was a well-taken goal by Ben Talbot to keeps Zeals hopes of getting something from the game alive.

However, in truth, had taken their chances they could have gone in at the break winning by three of four clear goals.

Those missed chances were to prove costly as the second half started well for United with Kamil Czerwonka and Marcin Kaminski putting them 4-1 up before Josh Bridle-O’Neal scored a second consolation for Zeals.

A late fifth goal that was scored by Mariusz Jackiewics sealed victory for the hosts.
