FOOTBALL: County matches hit by weather
11:56am Saturday 23rd March 2013 in Football
TODAY'S rugby and football fixtures were again disrupted as rain and snow continued to fal across Wiltshire.
Chippenham Town's Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division clash at AFC Totton in Hampshire was called off because of a waterlogged pitch after a morning inspection, with Frome Town's home clash with Gosport Borough also postponed.
In the Toolstation League, Melksham Town's Les Phillips Cup quarter final at Willand Rovers was a casualty, as were the First Division fixtures for Calne and Warminster at Welton Rovers and Elmore respectively.
However, at just before midday, Devizes Town's home derby with Westbury United was still on, as was Corsham Town's vsit to the 3G surface at Keynsham Town.
Bradford Town's meeting with Shepton Mallet was also set to go ahead.
In the Hellenic League Division One West Wootton Bassett Town's trip to Tytherington Rocks was still on, as of midday, with no news as to the status of Pewsey Vale's Sydenhams League Division One home meeting with Fleet Spurs.
In rugby, Chippenham's trip to London Irish Wild Geese, which had already been switched from Irish's Sunbury headquarters to nearby Imber Court, was called off this morning.
