WILTSHIRE rider Kitty King was named in the four-strong British team to contest the Longines FEI European Eventing Championships which was getting under way in Perth, Scotland, today.
King, based at Lower Stanton St Quintin, near Chippenham, was included alongside William Fox-Pitt, Pippa Funnell and Nicola Wilson, with the 32 year old riding Persimmon at Blair Castle, following yesterday's trot-up.
Great Britain were drawn eighth to go out of 11 teams contesting the week’s event, which sees 15 nations participating.
Also in Scotland, participating as individuals, are Holly Woodhead, who is based at Coate in Swindon, who is riding DHI Lupison, while Lambourn-based Laura Collett and Grand Manoeuvre are also riding.
