WILTSHIRE-BASED riders Kitty King and Sir Mark Todd both tasted three-star success at the Tattersalls International Horse Trials in Ireland at the weekend.
Lower Stanton St Quintin's King lifted the Irish Field CCI3* crown in County Meath, riding Ceylor LAN.
The duo were in second place heading into the final showjuling phase on the 10th anniversary of the event, but a lcear round handed them victory on 45.90 penalties, ahead of Badminton Hoprse Trials winner William Fox-Pitt and Luxury FH.
New Zealander Todd, based at Badgerstown between Marlborough and Swindon, led NZB Campino to victory in the George Mernagh Memorial CIC3* section with an impressive 36.90 penalties.
Highworth-based Australian rider Paul Tapner was second on Yogi Bear, like Todd producing a clear cross country round to finish on 40.00.
West Littleton's Harry Meade and Away Cruising was second in the CCI2* category behind Fox-Pitt and Ramdam De Mons.
There was yet more Wiltshire success in the Connolly Red Mills CCI2* U24 section, Badgerstown-based Tom McEwan finishing first and third on Joyride and Staff Des CHamps respectively, being split by Hullavington's Alicia Hawker, riding Charles RR.
Mildenhall-based New Zealander Jonelle Price was on the podium in the Cooley Farm CCIYH1*, finishing second on Ascona M, again behind Fox-Pitt, with Lambourn's Laura Collett third on Cooley Again.
