IT IS now four defeats in a row for Chippenham Town in National League South after they slipped to a second 2-1 defeat to Hungerford Town inside a week.

The Bluebirds had lost by the same score in Berkshire and paid the price for a poor first half at Hardenhuish Park as Stefan Brown netted, then blasted home the second moments after missing a penalty when Alex Wall was felled by Chippenham skipper Greg Tindle.

Substitute Josh Smile gave the home side hope in the second period when he fired him from a free-kick but the Bluebirds lost Will Richards to injury and had Gary Horgan limping to the final whistle as they failed to get back on terms.
