CHIPPENHAM Town slumped to a 3-0 home defeat to Bath City in National League South as the Romans gained revenge for a 5-2 reverse at Twerton Park earlier in the season.
On-loan Swindon Town midfielder Tom Smith was the Hardenhuish Park hero for the visiting side, scoring twice, while Jack Compton fired home the other goal from the penalty spot.
Andy Sandell flicked an early chance straight at Bath keeper Luke Southwood but the visitors went ahead shortly after the 10-minute mark as Smith outpaced the defence to get on to a flick-on and finished past Bluebirds' keeper Jared Thompson.
Compton and Chippenham skipper Greg Tindle then exchanged chances before City's Nat Jarvis was fouled by Chippenham's Gary Horgan and Compton fired hom from the penalty spot.
Alex Ferguson saw an effort blocked after the break but Smith wrapped up the points for the visitors on the break.
