CHIPPENHAM Town have been denied the opportunity to go top of the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division following the postponement of tonight's clash at Paulton Rovers.
The Bluebirds, 3-0 winners over Histon on Saturday, could have overtaken long-time leaders Poole Town at the top of the table with victory in Somerset this evening.
However, a 3pm pitch inspection at Rovers' Winterfield Road ruled that the fixture could not go ahead.
The match will now take place on Tuesday, February 16.
Mark Collier's side are next back in action on Saturday against King's Lynn Town at Hardenhuish Park (3pm).
