CHIPPENHAM Town have pulled off a successful raid of their local rivals after agreeing to sign midfielder Matt Smith from Frome Town.
Frome have confirmed that former Westbury United man Smith has opted to make the switch to the Bluebirds next term, departing Badgers Hill after making 217 appearances for the Robins, scoring 28 times in the process.
Mark Collier has signed full-back Scott Bevan from Swindon Supermarine so far this summer, with Matt Coupe, Toby Osman and Charlie Griffin departing.
Chippenham have also announced an additional friendly fixture away to Corsham Town on July 18.
Meanwhile, Frome manager Adrian Foster has brought former captain Josh Ford back to the club following his departure to Yate Town last October.
The Robins have already brought in Tyler Sibbick, Joe Tumelty, Rob Hobbs and Steve Hulbert whilst Mark Cooper, Brandon Mundy and Dylan Bonella have all left Badgers Hill.
