CRICKETER Liam Dawson has been dropped for England’s Test team ahead of their clash with South Africa.
The 27-year-old Hampshire all-rounder has been over looked for today’s game at the Oval, with Dawid Malan taking his place.
Malan is one of three cricketers to be handed their debut test cap, with Toby Roland-Jones and Thomas Westley also making the cut.
The Calne cricketer had played in the opening two Test against South Africa, with the series tied at 1-1 apiece.
But after some pedestrian performances, a number of pundits including former England captain Michael Vaughan, have been vying to see the Hampshire player to be dropped from Trevor Bayliss’ side.
