STRUGGLING Corsham slipped back into the bottom two of Premier One as they suffered a 77-run home loss to Bridgwater on Saturday.
Ashur Morrison’s men moved out of the relegation zone last weekend with victory over local rivals Potterne, however, the Station Road side again find themselves sitting second-from-bottom.
After winning the toss and inviting Bridgwater to bat, Corsham could only restrict their hosts to 251-8, with Tom Lace hitting 72, while skipper Morrison led the way with the ball with 3-42.
The hosts struggled in reply before Sam Collier (50) and Morrison (38) shared a 73-run fifth-wicket stand.
However, once they fell, Corsham were bowled out for 174 in the 44th over.
Potterne, meanwhile, fell to a second successive defeat as they lost to leaders Bath.
Neil Clark put Bath in at North Parade after winning the toss and the hosts racked up 269-8, with Paul Muchall unbeaten on 99 and Greg Hay hitting 76. Jake Roberts, Basil Akram and Ed Young all picked up two wickets apiece.
In reply, Potterne slumped to 9-2 before steadying the ship, however, they could not get up with the rate and were bowled out for 179 as opener Akram hit 76.
