JAKE Lintott fired a century as Wiltshire put themselves in a strong position in their penultimate Unicorns Championship Western Division clash against Herefordshire at Brockhampton.

Number six Lintott fired 116 in 128 balls to help guide the visitors to 415 all out after they had won the toss and batted on Sunday.

Will Wade added 73 and Trowbridge's Mike Reynolds 43 in 46 balls as the Wiltshire side fell four balls short of completing their full 90 overs.

In reply, Herefordshire skipper Matt Pardoe (35) and Alex Phillips (57) put on 89 for the opening wicket before being removed in quick succession by Joe King and Steve Warner.

The duo then removed Ed Pollock and Chris Whittock cheaply on Monday morning to leave the home side 124-4.
