Marlborough host Trowbridge in a top of the table clash on Saturday and will be looking to consolidate their position at the top of the Wiltshire Division.

Trowbridge currently sit in third place in the table, 19 points behind Marlborough, and are coming in to this weekend’s game having lost their last two games to Marshfield and Westbury by big margins.

Marlborough captain Arran Dickinson is expecting a very determined Trowbridge to turn up for this week’s game.

“I have no doubt that Trowbridge will be out to get their title challenge back on course after having lost their last two games by over 60 runs," he said.

"This will make them dangerous opponents this weekend and one not to be taken lightly.

"The boys have trained well this week and everyone is very much up for the challenge Trowbridge pose.”

Marlborough on the other hand are enjoying a five game winning run which Dickinson firmly believes is down to them playing as a team with tremendous spirit.

“We have five of our batsmen in the division’s top 25 run scorers and five of our bowlers in the top wicket takers for the season so far, which is an all-round performance that no other team gets close to.

"We are clearly not a one man team and we are able to bat to 11 with nearly everyone being able to bowl as well if needed.”

Marlborough name a strong side for the game with the return of James Richardson and Will Thomas to the batting line up.

Thomas will be looking to continue his recent good form which saw him score a half century on debut two weeks ago against Calne.
