CORSHAM claimed their fourth Wadworth 6X West of England League Premier One victory on the trot as they crushed Bridgwater by eight wickets at Station Road.

Pete Dennett's men are third in an increasingly-congested top of the table after Wiltshire skipper Mike Coles plundered an unbeaten 150 off 106 balls against his old club to guide them home in 39 overs.

Earlier, Bridgwater openers Merv Halloran and Robbie Montgomery scored 57 and 49 respectively as they visitors made a good start having elected to bat.

A late unbeaten 41 off 24 balls by number 10 Cameron Williams boosted their total up to 244 all out after Corsham's bowlers had struck back, Ashur Morison taking 3-16 and Tom Foley, Joe King and Jon Parker taking two wickets each.

Toby Davies (30) and Coles put on a stand of exactly 100 for the opening wicket and although Morrison fell for 13, wicketkeeper Steve Bullen (28 not out) helped Corsham home.

Coles destructive knock included 12 fours and 12 sixes.

Potterne remain in the thick of the promotion hunt in Premier Two after a complete demolition of Chard at The Grove.

Electing to bat, the villagers amassed a mammoth 355-7 from their 50 overs, built mainly around two centuries from Wiltshire stars Neil Clark and Ed Young.

The two put on 166 for the fourth wicket, Young clubbing 139 off just 85 balls, including 15 fours and six sixes.

Skipper Clark's 101 came in 77 deliveries and included seven fours and six sixes, as Andrew Sochon took 3-36 for the visitors.

Chard's innings failed to last 15 overs as they were ignominiously dismissed for just 52.

Dylan Higgins and Jake Roberts did the damage, Higgins taking 6-27 in seven overs and Roberts 3-22 in 7.2.

Goatacre are flirting with the relegation zone as they slipped to an 84-run defeat at Ilminster.

The home side reached 221-9 in their overs as number nine Richard Elswood scored an unbeaten 48.

Kevin Iles took 3-33, while Brad Dawson and Matt House took two wickets each for Goatacre.

In reply, Ed Wilkins scored 51 and skipper Dawson added 21 but support was in short supply and Goatacre were shot out for 137 in 32.4 overs.

James Thompson took 5-30 for the home side, Matt Davis taking 3-32.

Chippenham's revival in the Glos/Wilts Division continued as they surprised promotion-contending neighbours Biddestone by 15 runs at Hardenhuish Park.

The home side made 193-7 from their 50 overs, skipper Lee Ward leading the way with 44, Will Couzens scoring 30 and Aaron Merryweather 27.

Naeem Khan claimed four wickets for Biddestone, with Chris Baker, Dwaine Perry and Niel Bredenkamp bagging a victim each.

Opener Robbie Foston scored 46 for the visitors in the reply, but only Andy Flynn (27) and Stuart Kingwell (21) were able to add significant further contributions.

George Read took 5-46 and there were two wickets each for Craig Fry and Ward as Biddestone were all out for 178.

Number eight batsman Neil Dredge smashed a fiery unbeaten 91 to help Warminster to a two-wicket victory over title-challenging Rockhampton.

Dredge's 36-ball innings featured five fours and nine sixes and helped guide the hosts home, after skipper Tom Davie had earlier hit 59.

Rockhampton's 239-4 was built around a partnership of 179 between Guy Brothwood (90) and 92 from Matt Tyler.

Westbury remain in relegation danger after they were edged out by one wicket at Gloucester City Winget.

Having elected to bat, Westbury laboured to 180 all out in under 42 overs, Simon Rose scoring 44 and skipper Tom Cullen 29.

The visitors made early inroads into the home side's order, Rose taking 4-33 and Aditya Rai 2-33, but the unbeaten 69 of Craig Collinson helped nudge Winget across the finishing line.

Marshfield are the new leaders of the Wiltshire Division after they beat Devizes by three wickets and Great Bedwyn were surprised by Winsley.

Tim Saye hit 78 in Devizes 202 all out, but James Williams scored 75 and Russell Lodge 44 in Marshfield's 204-7.

Bedwyn slipped to third after their defeat, having been dismissed for 164 in under 40 overs at home by Winsley.

Rob Palmer scored 65 but had precious little back-up as Stuart Hammond took 4-28 and Tom Walker 2-58 for the visitors.

Winsley had few problems knocking off the runs and did so inside 32 overs, Jeremy Smith scoring an unbeaten 85 in 89 deliveries and Robbie Cross 38 not out.

The bowlers were on top at Burbage & Easton Royal as the home side edged home by a wicket against Trowbridge.

Trowbridge reached 150 before being dismissed in the 44th over, but Burbage had to endure some nervous moments before scraping home to 153-9 after 42 overs.

Calne continued their climb away from the foot of the table as they got home by a wicket at Nationwide House.

Thomas Richards took 3-32 and Glen Robinson 2-28 as House were restricted to 151-9 in their 50 overs, wicketkeeper Luke Bradley-Leach scoring 34 for the home side.

Wicketkeeper/opener Jordan Butler hit 84 in 60 balls in the reply, including 14 fours, but Sean Adams was the only other batsman into double figures with 17 as Calne reached a winning 152-9 in 29 overs.

Marlborough are still in the thick of the title hunt after their 37-run triumph at Purton.

The visitors' 157 all out was built around 36 from Thomas Jacques and 27 from wicketkeeper George Penfold.

Purton were led by 41 from Mark Gardner, but only Elijah Samuel, with 29, was able to make a further significant impact.

George Fox took 3-46, Will Langton 2-32 and Ben Head 2-12 as they were all out for 120 in the 39th over.
