WE WERE all a bit disappointed after the T20 finals day because the weather and the Duckworth-Lewis method stuffed us a little bit and if we’d had 16 overs to get a score of 140, I think we would have done it.
When a side has got 10 overs to bat and not lose 10 wickets, then they really get a free chance to go for the runs.
And when the game goes to a super over, then it’s complete luck, and luck’s something that we haven’t really had too much of this season.
We were pretty confident about going all the way in that competition but it wasn’t to be and we’ve missed out on the Champions League too.
The atmosphere was still great afterwards with everyone together in the hotel.
There was a lot of excitement and despite the rain, hopefully the fans enjoyed it and got their money’s worth.
We won against Scotland in the CB40 on Monday but it was a bit of a nothing game in the end because there was nothing riding on it.
It was quite hard to motivate yourself, especially after what happened on the weekend, but I’ve said before that they’re a side we should beat every time and in all honesty, we crushed them.
It’s all about the County Championship now and there are three games left, including the one that got started yesterday against Somerset.
We’re definitely keen to get one over on them – just like they were on finals day – we owe them one and if we win, it would hurt their chances of going on to win the title.
It’s all about trying to get some wins out our last games and hoping that Worcestershire slip up and we can overtake them.
It’s an outside chance but if we win all three of our games and still go down, then we can say that we did everything that we possibly could.
