IT HAS been a great experience this week being back involved in the England set up and the boys are all looking in good form.

I just think the intensity that everything is done at, at this level just takes you up a notch but it is done in the right way and the skill level is so much more than domestic cricket.

That is what you want to be involved in, you train with those lads and it only makes you a better cricketer.

Being in the squad is an amazing feeling and it is a long series to be involved in.

Looking forward to the tours of India and Bangladesh in the winter, England will probably take another spinner on that and if I keep impressing and working hard in the nets then hopefully that puts me in the frame to go.

All I can do is keep training well and be ready to play and take my chance when it comes along.

Spin in any one day cricket is huge now and it is proven that they get wickets.

Fifty-over cricket is a bit harder, you probably need a bit more of an attacking mind-set and an attacking bowler because you want to consistently take wickets and we have got that in Adil Rashid.

Myself and Moeen Ali are finger spinners and we probably won’t get the wickets that Rash does but we can offer the control and build the pressure that will get us wickets.

Meanwhile with Hampshire, to have a day like we did on Tuesday and get 280 runs for six wickets was an exceptional effort and puts Somerset right on the back foot.

We’ve always had a chance. If we win this game, it drags us out of it and pulls a lot of teams into the relegation fight, that’s how close it is.
