ON Wednesday morning, it was nice to be going in to the last day of a four-day match with a chance of winning it.

That’s a situation that we weren’t in too many times last season and hopefully, by the time people read this, we’ll have beaten Gloucestershire.

It’s great to back playing in some nice weather, which is exactly what you want at the start of the season, and I think we’ve played some nice cricket already.

Vincey (James Vince) batted very nicely this week and I feel that I got off to a decent start with a few wickets against Worcestershire.

It’s always hard to get wickets as a spinner in England at this time of the season.

I had my best season last year and I know what I’d like to try and improve on this year.

I’m happy with my batting and I know that some big totals are on the way.

I know that I can bowl well in the one-day competitions but it’s the four-day competitions where I want to do more with the ball.

The team also wants to improve in the four-day competition and go for promotion because we’re one of the biggest clubs in the country and we should be playing in Division One.

We don’t want to take away from what we do in the one-day competitions because I think we’re one of the best teams around in that too but I think that we’ve got what it takes to be successful in all formats of the game.

I know that a lot of teams say that but I think hat it’s true with us.
