We had a six hour coach journey up to Yorkshire this week for our County Championship game - and I can't say much for Chris Tremlett's DVD collection.

Chris is my roommate, and is a brilliant one, but I'm not sure of his taste in films.

He's just bought Ali and Next but they aren't exactly ones I would like.

Everyone's got their own roommate when we are away from home and things go on - most of which aren't printable.

Chris Benham is the club's joker but you should never prank a prankster. Luckily he hasn't got me just yet but there will be an occasion where I will get nailed.

Obviously this week I've been up with the first team and I'm 12th man, which is a little disappointing.

I found out Wednesday morning but if I continue to do well in training then hopefully I will get my chance.

Naturally we'll be hoping for a Hampshire win. We got a good draw against Sussex last week and if we could get a big win up here then it would really get the season going.

It's been a bit slow at the moment and we were inside on Monday playing football because of the rain.

It's John Crawley's benefit year at the club and he has a game against Southampton in October so we have got to practice for that.

I just play anywhere really, but I doubt I'd be able to make it as a footballer.

I don't like being inside though, especially when we are in the nets because it is just unrealistic.

Bowlers just get smashed all over the place and it is a lot easier for the batsmen.
