CHIPPENHAM Town boss Adie Mings says star midfielder Scott Lye will pen a new one-year deal at the club next week.
The 21-year-old scooped the management's player of the year and players' player of the year at the club's end of season awards last Friday.
Mings has moved quickly to tie down his prized asset - who has been linked with moves to AFC Bournemouth and Bath City - after the Bluebirds' play-off heartbreak.

Mings said: "Scott will be here next season. He's under contract and he's signing for another year next week.
"He and all the other lads who stepped up from lower leagues last summer have done well, but Scott has been exceptional. He has a big future in the game."
Lye had a trial spell with Bournemouth last summer and the relegated League One outfit sent scouts to watch him playing for Chippenham last season.
But Mings says he has had no approaches for the former Corsham Town man so far this summer.
He said: "Scott was at Bournemouth last pre-season and he did well in a few trial games for them.
"But I haven't heard anything from them and nobody's contacted me this summer about him."
