CHIPPENHAM Town clinched a 1-0 victory in last night's second leg of their Wiltshire Premier Shield tie at the Webb's Wood Stadium.
Swindon Supermarine claimed an easy 8-2 aggregate win, courtesy of their thumping first-leg triumph, but the Bluebirds at least bowed out on a high.
Both clubs fielded experimental sides with a smattering of first-team regulars, Greg Tindle, Steve Casey, Ross Stearn, Luke Gullick and Dave Gilroy starting for the visitors.
Chippenham gave themselves the slightest glimmer of hope with an early goal through Ben Wickens, who also scored in the opening leg.
Ross Stearn also hit the crossbar with an effort, while Jamie Prictor hit the woodwork and Nick Stanley missed a penalty for Marine, who nevertheless booked a final showdown with Salisbury City.
