David Pratt capped the craziest seven days of his career by appearing on Sky Sports show Soccer AM and then scoring the winner at Cambridge City.
However it is bittersweet for the 21-year-old hitman as his rollercoaster ride will now be temporarily de-railed thanks to the incident that bought him to the attention of the public-at-large.
The striker will now be suspended for three matches after earning the world's fastest ever red card at Bashley on December 27, but admits he has enjoyed his fleeting brush with fame.
"It's been a busy week," he said.
"It has been good, obviously apart from getting sent off, full of newspaper and radio interviews and then Soccer AM called me on Friday.
"They asked if I fancied going up there so I went with one of my mates and then went straight to Cambridge.
"I didn't quite get an invitation to enter the Dance-Off competition they had though. I could have had a go at the Road To Rome shooting competition at the end but I had to leave to make the game in time."
While happy to temporarily bask in the limelight Pratt, who has scored six in his last eight games, says it is a killer blow that he must now watch from the sidelines, but he is determined to eventually pick up where he left off.
"The blow really is that now I'm going to miss three games," he said.
"It’s a killer, especially when I'm just hitting form. I have to deal with it, work hard, come back and hopefully do better."
Manager Adie Mings last week described the decision to send off Pratt as 'horrendous' and his views have not mellowed seven days later.
"That's the problem you get with poor refereeing," he said.
"It costs you as a team and it has now cost us the services of one of my most influential players."
