They were more annoyed it was off than we were
by assistant boss TOMMY CALLINAN
I CAN'T remember seeing a game like Tuesday's wash-out at Halesowen. We were 1-0 up after a minute and then it was
1-1 after only three minutes.
Then we were 3-2 up after about 20 so it was an awesome, awesome, start by both teams.
But we obviously have to go back up there again tonight so we will be having another go at it.
The pitch played its part because you couldn't read what was going to happen and you couldn't run with the ball over it.
The pitch was quite bad and quite heavy so it prob
ably was the right
decision to call the game off.
There was also the odd decision from the referee surrounding the penalty.
I didn't see who handballed it but it was very strange.
The linesman was saying it hit the bar and the referee was saying it was handball.
But if that is the case, who handballed it? And it is then a red card.
The other goal we conceded was a bit soft but we were quite pleased with the tempo and how we got about them.
The feeling in the dressing room was we had the beating of them and we were a lot more annoyed it was off than they seemed to be.
We'll go with the same team again and I don't see any changes or surprises.
But what I was surprised with was how many fans we brought up.
They were fantastic and were singing their hearts out in the away end.
If they come back on Thursday, fair play and you have to take your hat off to them.
Everything was spot on, the preparation was spot on and the fans were spot on so we will just go up there and do it all again.
If we do beat them then it is Team Bath at Twerton Park on Saturday.
I'm not worried about them just yet, let's get Thursday night out of the way first.
Ours is a very young team and they don't fear very many people to be honest with you. They will be up for it and I can assure you they have been looking forward to it since we left there on Tuesday.
