New signings have a part to play in the squad

I know everyone has chipped in for Luke Prince, Matt Groves and Gary Funnell and wants to see them play but they are here to add strength in depth and keep players on their toes.

That is what we have been missing the last few weeks because we have not had a strong bench.

Now I have got options on the bench and can bring players into the team who can make a big contribution.

They are here to play. I can bring Luke and Matty into games and they can change them.

I have still got Gary who could come on and that is not to mention Mark Badman. He should be fit for the game away at Mangotsfield on Satur-day. He has been training, although he is not match fit.

John Else is also on board and he gives us even more strength in depth.

If you look at all the sides around us they are all signing players.

Halesowen have made a couple of additions and everyone knows you have to have a squad in place for the run-in.

The end of the month is the deadline so everyone needs the players in place.

So whether I have brought players in on loan or they are already here, they all have a part to play.

Performances from the likes of Sean Seavill are always going to keep people on the bench.

He doesn't always get his rewards because he does a lot of unseen and unselfish work for the team.

In the 4-1 win over Gloucester on Easter Monday he got into the positions we asked him to get into and took his two goals very well.

He is an excellent footballer. I am pleased he got his goals in reward for his goals.

Aaron Cornwall got around 70 minutes during the game and I have been so impressed with his attitude while he has been suspended.

He has come to every game, always done his running and kept on top of his fitness.

He might not be match fit but he adds a different dimension the side.

When Aaron gets the ball he lifts the crowd and sides double up on him.

He is an exciting player and once we can get him back up to speed he will be a major asset for us i the run-in.

It was important we bounced back after our defeat at Merthyr on Friday. We were disappointed with the performance and spoke about it after the game.

But we started well against Gloucester, although we knew it was going to be tough because they are a good side.

They said to me before the game they were still in with a chance of making the play-offs.

But now they have got to go on a run and probably win all their games.

We knew it was going to be difficult, I was just so pleased the lads took on board what me, Tommy Callinan and Gary Kemp said and applied it to the letter.
