Chippenham Half Marathon
Goughs Solicitors Sponsor Chippenham Half Marathon
Wiltshire law firm Goughs Solicitors have become the first official sponsors of the Chippenham Harriers, Chippenham Half Marathon.
In celebration of their 25th anniversary, the Harriers are bringing back the half marathon to Chippenham after a 12 year break. The event will take place on Sunday 14th September starting at the Harriers home, Chippenham Sports Club. The 13.1 mile course will follow a scenic route through country lanes, visiting local villages including Tytherton Lucas, Langley Burrell, Avon and East Tytherton.
A number of charities will benefit from the event including Wiltshire Air Ambulance; with over 1000 entrants expected, the funds raised on the day are hoped to run well into the thousands.
Laura Burrill, Marketing Manager at Goughs Solicitors commented, "We are delighted to be sponsoring this event; it will be a fantastic occasion, bringing the whole community together. The course looks tough but with ample time to train hopefully we'll be able to get a few members of staff running on the day too."
If you would like to take part, you can download an application form from the Gazette website.
