CLARRIE DUNBAR’S brilliant start to the indoor season was extended last weekend with a hat-trick of victories.

The ladies side followed up a superb Yetton Trophy opening round 74-54 win over Bristol with a second-round 85-52 success over Purnell (Paulton) last Saturday.

At the same time, in the men’s Denny Cup, the club were brushing Christie Miller aside with a 79-58 win.

To complete the treble, Dunbar came out on top when defeating North Wilts 14-2 in the Top Club.

In the Yetton Trophy, Dunbar won on three of the four rinks in the 85-52 success with the foundation being laid on the home rinks where skips Ann Jones (19 shots) and Marcia Hartley (14 shots) won convincingly.

In the Denny Cup, the men also won on three of the four rinks against neighbours Christie Miller, who saw their only rink success come from the Moore family - Steve, Andy, Chris and Jordan.

Dunbar then produced a brilliant performance on Sunday to complete their weekend team treble with a strong showing in the second round of the Top Club competition to lower the colours of rivals North Wilts convincingly.

They won on three of the four disciplines - mixed pairs, mixed triples and mixed fours.
