IT'S OVER, FRENCH SUCCESS! 2:54pm: : Final rider Nicolas Touzaint gallaps around the course beautifully on Hildago De L'ile to become the first French Badminton winner ever with just 48.4 penalty points.

WONDERFUL WIEGERSMA: 2:51pm Lucy Wiegersma takes a late lead and guarantees herself at least a second place finish with 49.8 penalty points on Shaabrak.

FOX HUNTING TITLE: 2:46pm William Fox-Pitt puts in an impressive ride to take the lead on Ballincoola with 52.1 penalty points. Powell is second with Hunt still third.

HUNT HAPPY: 2:40pm: Sharon Hunt is pleased with herself after moving up to second place on Tankers Town with 54.9 penalty points. She said: "It's been phenomenal. I couldn't have jumped any better so I'm really pleased." But New Zealander Caroline Powell has nipped ahead of her to take the lead after a super round. The worst Powell can finish is sixth as there's just five riders to go...

DEJA VU: 2:27pm: Zara Phillips posts another top ten entry with 78.2 penalty points on Glenbuck, bettering her previous score to put her sixth and ninth. Mead is now down to fourth with Matt Ryan (first) Daisy Dick (second) and Mary King (third) ahead of him.

HAPPY HARRY: 2:21pm: But there's better news for fellow Chippenham resident Harry Meade on Midnight Dazzler as he bursts to the top of the leaderboard after a super round, posting a final score of 66.2 points.

SPENCE'S MISERY: 2:18pm Chippenham teenager Georgie Spence endured a torrid final round as she knocked down four consecutive fences on Running Brook II to record a final score of 99.6 penalty points, putting her well down the leaderboard.

FRENCH HOPE: 14:15pm Rodolphe Scherer has knocked Phillips down to third with an impressive ride on Fairfax to take the lead with 74.3.

ROYAL RIDE: 2:08pm: Zara Phillips has moved into second place on Ardfield Magic Star with 79.8 penalty points after a solid round.

LEADERBOARD UPDATE: 1:41pm: Fox-Pitt is still first, with Rosie Thomas second on Barry's Best with 83.5 penalty points and Caroline Powell third on Mac Macdonald with 84.6.

STURGIS INTERVIEW: 1:28pm: Chippenham rider Beanie Sturgis, now in eighth place after her ride, is set to come to the press tent for an exclusive interview with the Gazette in the next few minutes so stay tuned...

BREAK TIME: 1:13pm Lunch is being taken and everyone is eagerly anticipating the afternoon rides of Zara Phillips and overnight leader Nicolas Touzaint, who is looking to become the first Frenchman to win Badminton. Chippenham teenager Georgie Spence, who was handily placed in 17th overnight, will also jump her final round shortly after 2pm.

WONDERFUL WILLY: 12:33pm: William Fox-Pitt has taken the lead on Tamarillo with 78.9 penalty points.

WILTSHIRE OVERLOAD: 12:26pm Chippenham's Harry Meade has jumped himself up into tenth place on Birthday Night with 103.4.

TIDY TAPNER: 12:23pm: Highworth rider Paul Tapner is currently in seventh place with 98.7 penalty points after his ride on Inonothing, one place below Sturgis.

BRAVO BEANIE: 12:15pm: Chippenham rider Beanie Sturgis has jumped herself into fifth place currently on Monarch's Rock with 97.6 penalty points. But the big guns are still to have their rides...

NEW LEADER: 12:12pm: Frenchman Bruno Bouvier jumps into the lead on Harry with 91.8, with Emily Baldwin second on Drivetime with 94.3 and Griffiths third.

LUNCHTIME LEADERBOARD: 12:06: 1) CONNIGAR BAY - Sam Griffiths (AUS) - 96.9; 2) LOOKS LIKE FUN - Vicky Brake; 3) BLACK ANDY - Joe Meyer (NZL) - 104.0; 4) SPECIAL ATTORNEY - Dan Jocelyn (NZL) 58.3 - 104.1; 5) SPRING ALONG - Daisy Dick - 109.1.

GRIFFITHS' GLEE: 12pm:Australian Sam Griffths has raced into the lead on Connigar Bay with 96.9 penalty points.

LATEST LEADERBOARD: 11:45am: 1) Jade Lazenby on MASTER BLASTER II - 114.8; 2) Charlotte Agnew on LITTLE BEAU - 117.8; 3) Emily Galbraith on CROWN ALLIANCE - 120.2; 4) Jayne Doherty (IRL) - 131.4; 5) Mary King on IMPERIAL CAVALIER - 132.3.

HADDOW WOE: 11:30am: Olivia Haddow on Patris Filius is last currently after her round with 212.6, Richard Jones on Fox on the Run finished with 148.3, Mary King on Imperial Cavalier got 132.3, Irish residents Jane Doherty on Art Attack got 131.4, Sarah Wardell on Cincluny got 138.4, Neil Fox on What If on got 136.7 and Louise Skelton on Bit of a Barney got 136.7.

Italian Susanna Bordone on Ava is second with 168.8, Emily Butcher is third on Southern Ben with 181.0, Tor Brewer fourth on Highleadon with 187.1, and Heidi Woodhead fifth on The Biz with 207.4.

Clare Lewis is leading the day's jumping with 159.0 overall penalty points on Park Pageboy.

SHOW JUMPING: 11:15am: The final round of the Badmninton Horse Trials is underway and the fifth lowest placed entrants going into the last day have finished their final discipline, show jumping.
