SWINDON TOWN: Knill - You have to respect Di Canio

ALAN Knill has branded Swindon Town “a big club in League One” ahead of his Scunthorpe side’s clash with the Robins tomorrow.

Knill, whose team sit third-bottom of the division, also praised Town manager Paolo Di Canio for achieving success through his own unique and fairly unorthodox means.

He said: “Swindon are a big club. They were a big club in League Two and they’re a big club in League One.

“You can see why they’re going forward.

“I don’t know too much of him (Di Canio), obviously he was an unbelievable player and he doesn’t seem to struggle now he’s taken to management.

“He has his own way and you have to respect it because he’s getting results.

“He’s very animated and passionate, but that’s his way and he was getting the results that he wanted.

“He says it how he thinks he is and if he’s got a problem with you, he’ll tell you. That’s his way.”
