SATURDAY’s Blue Circle Open was won by Stuart White, from Chippenham, with 85 lb 10 oz of carp, followed by Mick Gunning, from Trowbridge, with 51 lb 6 oz and John Wilkins with 42 lb 7 oz.

Other placings: 4. Pete Neate Holt 32 lb 9 oz; 5. Sean Rhodes Trowbridge 30 lb 9 oz; 6. Kevin Grant Trowbridge 25 lb 4 oz.

ONLY four anglers caught fish on a flooded river in Sunday’s Calne match at Hazeland.

Simon Fear won with 1 lb 4 oz of roach, followed by Trevor Payne, from Corsham, with an 11 oz chub and Pewsey’s Kevin Moore with 8 oz of roach and Tim Carr, of Calne, with 4 oz. The pairs prize went to Fear and Carr with a combined 1 lb 8 oz.

SUNDAY’S Chippenham match was switched to Pockeridge Lake, where Calne’s Gary Dodson took 28 lb 2 oz of carp for victory.

Steve Palmer, from Chippenham, was next with 26 lb 15 oz of carp and roach, followed by Alex Hyde, from Chippenham, with 24 lb 14 oz.

Other placings: 4. Ian Liddell Chippenham 19 lb 14 oz; 5. Guy Manners Chippenham 18 lb 6 oz; 6. Kevin Williams Chippenham 17 lb 10 oz.

SUNDAY’S inter-club match between Lavington and Devizes at Ellis Lake went to Lavington with 153 points to 132. Pete Neate (Lavington) was top individual with 60 lb 12 oz of carp, followed by Devizes’ Kevin Grant (52lb of carp) and John Palmer (Lavington, 29 lb 4 oz of carp).

Other placings: 4. Darren Fletcher Devizes 28 lb 0 oz; 5. James Jones Lavington 26 lb 12 oz.
