RUGBY: Supermarine 6 Royal Wootton Bassett 31

ROYAL Wootton Bassett claimed their second Southern Counties South win of the season as they saw off their local rivals at South Marston.

They opened the scoring when fly-half Jon Clarke saw space out wide and the ball reached winger Hamish Keith who finished well in the corner.

Marine responded with a penalty but Bassett number eight David Hogg spun out of tackles to score the second try and converted before Marine kicked their second penalty.

Flanker Dan Shoebridge touched down after a driving maul from a lineout, Hogg converting, as Bassett started the second half well.

Centre Tucker Blinkhorn earned the bonus point try and, despite losing Hogg to the sin-bin, flanker Ollie Maher added a further score.
