FA CUP: Bluebirds to take on Tigers

CHIPPENHAM Town will travel to Gloucester City for the right to reach the first round of the FA Cup.

Nathan Rudge's Bluebirds, who saw off Badshot Lea last weekend, will go to Cheltenham Town's Whaddon Road Ground, which is shared by Gloucester, on Saturday October 20.

Chippenham's Conor Thompson and Luke Ballinger are set for reunions with their former club, with the Tigers beating Eastleigh 1-0 in the third qualifying round yesterday.

Gloucester are 16th in the Conference North and the winners of the fourth qualifying round clash will net £12,500 in prize money.

Tigers boss Dave Mehew revealed that Rudge was in the stands for Sunday's meeting with Eastleigh and said: “We wanted a home tie and that’s what we’ve got.

"It’ll be a good game - Nathan Rudge was watching our game yesterday and we obviously know a few of their lads too.”

Chippenham travel to Bideford in the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division tomorrow evening (kick-off 7.45pm)
