We are writing history, but for it to be remembered we need to progress further.

It's such a pity that so many clubs fail to take the two proper cup competitions seriously now. Their attitude damages the integrity of the competitions, and it filters down to produce poor attendances like last night's. Some people may regard a turnout of about 7,000 to be decent. I thought it was poor considering the fact that it was always likely to be a keenly contested tie against higher opposition and with the added attraction - whatever you think of him - of Austin's return. And I am not having a go at people who find it hard to get there for whatever reason.

Phish, Old'un's like Oi Den and me don't need to look on Wiki, you don't forget games played in the sixties when TV games were an exception rather than the rule. You ask can we be the first team from the lower tiers to do it twice, Why not! this year is the 100 centenary of us playing Man Utd in the charity shield, ( I wasn't there by the way) but we got beat 8 to 4, to get them again would be great and I don't think they would score 8 this time, but we might get 4 Lol!

Should Charles still be at Poole Town then? Didn't he come to us for 'big money'? Did we make him or did Poole Town make him? Or was it Reading's youth system? If he had turned out to be rubbish would we have given him a 15 year contract or got rid? Charlie made Charlie and good luck to him. Personally I'm happier as a Town fan now than since the Hoddle days - but then we looked good but we needed the one player, now we have a close knit team who don't go out starting fights in my local town, they don't throw abuse at fans at special events whilst under the influence of something, they don't go around sh4gging other player's wives and they don't think they are the big I am.

Looking forwards to seeing a capacity crowd and the Bank full under floodlights. Great for Wray to be able to entertain the Villa here, he does have ambition, and as long as we perform well, irrelevant of the outcome, its a great night for the club as a whole.
