RUGBY: Devizes 2nd 13 Combe Down 32

UNDERSTRENGTH Devizes 2nd went down to defeat at home to Bath visitors Combe Down in Dorset & Wilts One North.

Missing as many as 10 players, Devizes took the lead through a Matty Holloran penalty.

Down hit back with two tries to take a 12-3 lead whcih was stretched again by a penalty when Devizes skipper Tim Alchin infringed.

In a fine third quarter, Devizes hit back with a flowing move that saw Scott Franklin touch down, Holloran adding the extras before booting a penalty to cut the gap to two points.

Three more tries for the visitors in the final quarter confirmed their bonsu-point win.
