GOATACRE'S hopes of promotion to Premier One of the Globe Sports West of England Premier League were dashed by a final-day home defeat to Keynsham, while Chippenham and Westbury were both relegated.
Keynsham grabbed second spot behind champions Ashcott & Shapwick as they claimed the points they needed to leave Craig Gibbens' Goatacre the unlucky ones to miss out by just a point
Keynsham declared at 227-7 in the 44th over and then bowled out the hosts for just 94 to snatch the honours.
Westbury's two-wicket defeat to Glastonbury condemned them to the Glos/Wilts Division next season, while Chippenham joined them through the trapdoor with a 47-run loss to champions Ashcott & Shapwick.
Biddestone's four-wicket triumph over local rivals Potterne in the Glos/Wilts Division saw them claim second place behind champions Cheltenham, who took the one promotion place on offer.
Relegated Winsley claimed victory in their final match over local rivals Trowbridge by five wickets. Trowbridge slipped to third bottom courtesy of that result, but Swindon joined Winsley on the way out of the division, despite beating Stroud.
A tight finish in the Wiltshire Division saw Lechlade claimed the title and promotion. leaving long-time leaders Great Bedwyn and Burbage & Easton Royal disappointed.
Lechlade romped to an eight-wicket victory over Wootton Bassett, while Bedwyn fell just short four points adrift despite victory at Swindon's Nationwide House.
Burbage defeated Malmesbury to finish second in their first season in the division.
