Paolo says he's talking to Jay Mac and he's hopeful of getting Bostock in some sort of deal but his wages are very high.

If we get them both it'll be fantastic.
Loyal, from what I have seen of Bostock, even if we do have to stump up a large amount on wages, he is worth it. He comes across to me as the player that can make a difference, and when games are tight between two good sides, somebody like him can be the defining player. Like you I hope he comes."

Di Canio plans for the future after agreeing new deal

Di Canio is back in Town Di Canio is back in Town

PAOLO Di Canio marched back into Swindon yesterday to announce his plans for Town’s future after agreeing a new two-year extension to his contract with the Robins.

Speculation had begun to build in recent weeks, as the Italian remained silent and the club were unable to give an official line on the status of negotiations regarding a proposed longer stay for Di Canio in Wiltshire.

However, at a press conference held at the County Ground, the Town boss explained why it had taken so long for an agreement to be reached, and he stressed that both he and the club’s hierarchy are now moving forward as one after he put pen to paper on terms that will keep him with Swindon until the summer of 2015.

“There wasn’t any situation, it is obvious that when you win the league there is attention on you, but I waited to understand that there was the same plan, and that should be the guarantee for the fans,” he said.

“The board still have the same plan, and the same desire and target to gain the next promotion I hope straightaway.

“The plan didn’t change, but I had to wait because there was some situation and it is important I sign because everyone can be positive for the future, because if Di Canio signs again for Swindon it means the plan is positive.

“I was never going to sign just for employment, but I search a plan and the plan has been confirmed which is the most important thing.

“I am very happy, and it is obvious now we can start work again and I’m more than happy to be here.

“That is what I wanted and now we can say that we can keep going together for the plan we originally agreed one year ago, and that makes me more than happy.”

“I am very happy, not only because I signed a contract, but because I can work again for Swindon and stay here, but the delay was my fault, I don’t want to say it was someone elses fault.

“I didn’t have power to change things and to do something before then what I can do from now, but now I want to stop all of the speculation because even though I was in Italy I followed everything that happened around Swindon.”
