RUGBY: Avonvale 0 Minety 12

MINETY overcame chilling, driving rain to clinch a Dorset & Wilts One North away win..

They took the lead after 10 minutes when centre Jonty Messer was first to the ball after a chip ahead wrong-footed the defence.

Centre partner Luke Radcliffe slotted the conversion and Minety turned around at half time still holding the lead.

Avonvale turned up the pressure after the break, but Minety defence kept them at bay and finished the stronger.

The threequarters moved the ball down the line and winger Robin Greenway stepped outside his marker and went over for a try out wide.
