CHIPPENHAM teenager Emma Holloway is facing a new exam as she puts the final touches to her preparations for the European Junior Championships in Belgrade next week.
The 17-year-old, from Wishart Way, Pewsham, was selected for the Great Britain squad back in March and competes in Serbia in the event from June 29-July 3.
Holloway, a Year 12 student at Abbeyfield School and guided by Chippenham coach Janice Baker, has had to combine her training with her studies for AS exams in four subjects which she has recently completed.
Currently honing her preparations at Crystal Palace, she recently competed with Bristol Central Swimming Club at the British Championships in Gloucester, managing gold in the combination team event, silver in the team championship and sixth in the duet .
The Great Britain squad will compete in both the free team and the combination team event in Belgrade.
