WILTSHIRE made it back to back Unicorns Championship Western Division wins as they wrapped up a four-wicket success over Herefordshire at South Wilts CC.

Set 147 to win by the visitors, whose second innings was ended on 258, Wiltshire suffered a wobble during the course of their chase before Ashur Morrison (47) and Brad Dawson (44) steadied the ship to see their side home.

Herefordshire resumed their second innings today just ahead of the home side and despite 80 from Joe Ellis-Dabrowski, who added 87 for the sixth wicket with Peter Burgoynbe, Tahir Afridi completed figures of 4-62 to help dismiss them.

Wiltshire lost opener Jack Haines first ball and looked unsteady as 16-year-old leg-spinner Alex Russell, who is on Gloucestershire’s books, took three wickets in only his second Minor Counties match.

But Morrison and Brad Dawson (44) played steadying innings to see Wiltshire past the trouble, allowing Tom Morton and Afridi to get their side home.
