WILTSHIRE subsided to defeat in their Unicorns Championship Western Division clash against Dorset at Sherborne School this morning.
The visitors, already five wickets down with only 83 on the board and chasing 267 for victory, never got near to their target as Josh McCoy (4-63) and ex-Leicestershire off-spinner Jigar Naik (4-68) helped end their resistance on 174 all out inside 44 overs.
Bradley Dawson put up a fight for the visitors, hitting 36 off 44 deliveries, including seven fours, while number 11 Ryan Murray added an enterprising 30 off 20, featuring two fours and three sixes, but the away side were stopped 92 runs short to depart pointless.
Wiltshire host Berkshire at Corsham CC in their next championship match, starting on Sunday, July 8.
